At RJF Healthcare we regularly review and upgrade our training programs to accurately reflect the changing roles of support staff in our healthcare community. We encourage continued education, professional development and advancement for all employees by providing in-house Continuing Care Assistant (CCA), Personal Care Worker (PCW) and Patient Attendant training programs.  We also encourage professional development activities and in-services for RNs, LPNs and CCAs. We ensure that all staff are certified in CPR, WHMIS, Fire and Safety and NVCI; are oriented to RJF and specific healthcare facility policies and procedures; are trained in their relevant fields of expertise; possess a clean criminal record; and, have a thorough background review to ensure and maintain a safe and professional environment for each client, resident and patient.

Earn While You LearnTM

RJF created the Earn While You LearnTM program to meet client's staffing needs and better provide well trained and professional personnel. In particular, the program trains Continuing Care Assistants (CCA) in a Nova Scotia Association of Health Organizations (NSAHO) approved program.  The program is tailored dependant on where it is being offered as RJF partners with various nursing homes, homecare agencies and other facilities to offer the program to local residents.  The concept allows people to be certified while they work in various long term care and private facilities throughout the province. In addition, other personnel, such as Patient Attendants and Multi-purpose workers, can also benefit as they attend the Personal Care, Body Mechanics and Communication modules of the CCA training program.

As an employer in Nova Scotia, RJF realizes the challenges of heathcare staffing and training and welcomes partnerships with other organizations to discuss your training needs. All instructors are highly professional, qualified and specialize in Adult education within the Healthcare field.  Should you be interested in discussing training opportunities, please contact us.
